This pavilion is situated on a hill in the town centre of Cheung Chau. It has a short history - built in 1973. Inside the pavilion worshipped an eight feet tall Kwan Kung statue crafted from a whole piece of camphor wood.
It is said that there was a Kwan Kung temple on the hill but it is heavily damaged after years. So, inhabitants of Cheung Chau gathered money and built this pavilion while building the hilltop garden.
