Hong Kong International Airport

As the gateway to Hong Kong, the Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok is the main entrance for welcoming tourists from overseas. The official opening of the new airport was on July 6, 1998, a day that marked the turning of Hong Kong into the new age. The design of the airport has won many awards both in Hong Kong and abroad. Combining modern architecture ideas and environmental protection concept, the design saves energy by using natural light ingeniously.

The Hong Kong International Airport is now under extension. The SkyCity under construction will include SkyPlaza, AsiaWorld-Expo, a golf course, hotel, and SkyPier.

The SkyPlaza is a complex that includes the Second Passenger Terminal Building, transportation interchange terminal, entertainment and retail shops, and the largest 4D cinema in Asia. It will be connected to the First Passenger Terminal Building and SkyPier by mass express railway system.
